Join acclaimed TV artist Dermot Cavanagh this summer and immerse yourself in the cultural tapestry of Northern Ireland on this exclusive 5-day painting course and sightseeing tour. A unique blend of creativity and exploration awaits you in the picturesque landscapes of Mid-Ulster and the vibrant city of Belfast and its surrounding area. This painting break is geared towards art enthusiasts who would like to explore some of what the province of Ulster has to offer, and who would like to learn and develop new skills in watercolour along the way. 
The Painting Course Experience: Relax and be inspired in the tranquil surroundings of Dermot’s own studio, nestled amidst the rolling hills of east Tyrone. During the informative 3-day painting course part of the package, (Tue, Wed & Thu) discover your artist within as Dermot teaches you how to create two watercolours, one from Mid Ulster and one from the Belfast area. You will have these artworks to take home as mementos of your Ulster art and travel experience.

This is a painting break for art enthusiasts who would like to explore some of what Northern Ireland has to offer, while learning and developing new watercolour skills.

Explore with Dermot as Your Guide: Venture beyond the studio with Dermot as your guide. Two days are dedicated to sightseeing. Tour Day 1. (Monday) explores the hidden gems of Mid-Ulster including The National Trust property ‘The Argory’, Castle Leslie Estate, and many other interesting sites. Tour Day 2. (Friday) offers an unforgettable tour of Belfast City and the surrounding area. Dermot’s local knowledge will enrich your experience and unveil the essence of this captivating region with visits to Lough Neigh, Hillsborough Village, The Merchant Hotel and The Titanic Museum.
Accommodation and Transportation: Stay for 5 nights at The Ryandale Hotel in Dermot’s picturesque home village of Moy; the ideal base for your artistic and explorative escapades. All internal minibus transfers are included to and from the hotel, making your journey seamless.

Daily Itinerary:

•    Day 1 (Sunday): Afternoon Belfast airport pick-up and transfer to hotel for dinner.
•    Day 2 (Monday): Mid-Ulster guided mini-bus sightseeing tour, with lunch out & back to hotel for dinner.
•    Day 3 (Tuesday): Painting day at Dermot’s studio, lunch out, then back to the hotel for a group out to dinner excursion.
•    Day 4 (Wednesday): Painting day at Dermot’s studio with lunch out and back to hotel for dinner.
•    Day 5 (Thursday): Painting day at Dermot’s studio – lunch – evening dinner excursion + drinks reception at an Irish traditional music session in the local pub.
•    Day 6 (Friday): Belfast City tour, lunch out, and afternoon transfer to Belfast airport for departure and flight home.
