Welcome to another of my online painting tutorial demonstrations for you to follow and learn from.

During this online tutorial I would like to show you how to paint an Irish Landscape ‘Old Bridge at The Poison Glen’ in the west of County Donegal. There are many hair-raising stories as to how the spectacular mountain glen got its name, but perhaps the most likely story is that the name came from a simple mistake made by the first English cartographers in the area. The Gaelic words for Poison and Heavenly are very similar. It’s thought that an oversight was made with the spelling. Whether true or not, there are few places more deserving of the name ‘The Heavenly Glen’.
I have now worked up a magical painting composition for you, from sketches I’ve made on previous visits to this most stunning location noted for its natural beauty. I will take you step-by-step through an inspirational watercolour painting from the initial sketch to the finishing touches and pass on more of my tips, tricks and techniques.
