On-line Watercolour Demonstration – ‘Rushing Stream Falling Over Rocks’

‘Rushing Stream Falling Over Rocks’
Learn to Paint with BBC TV Artist Dermot Cavanagh.
On-line Watercolour Demonstration.
Duration: 2Hrs 24Mins

Welcome to another of my online painting tutorial demonstrations for you to follow and learn from.

As a tutor I am always trying to make the difficult, possible for anyone. In this tutorial I will show you how to capture the energy and power of a ‘Rushing Stream Falling Over Rocks’. I have tweaked the composition of the original scene to make it less fussy and easier for you to create a dramatic and impactive painting. I will be demonstrating how to use directional brush strokes to create form and contours in an undulating and wild moorland.

I am going to take you on a virtual trip into the Antrim Hills, where I got the inspiration for this painting. I was hill walking and following the Inver river upstream to its source from Glenariff Forest Park in the Glens of Antrim. I will take you through the painting step by step and I am really looking forward to passing on many of my watercolour tips and techniques during this online course. I really hope you can join me.

My online tutorials are very informative and are filmed in great detail. This is the most unique and innovative way to learn to paint today and can be accessed immediately worldwide from the comfort of your own home. Never miss a thing from the initial sketch to the finishing touches, follow every brushstroke.
